I've been taking some photography classes through the park district and last week, our topic was light. Our teacher encouraged us to use black and white, as a means of enhancing the differences in light. Here are the photos that I presented last week.
Black and white can be very dramatic under the right circumstances, but I have to say your #3 picture with the hint of blue is the one that caught my eye. It's a moment of reality frozen as a memory - I guess that is why I struggle with all the xtra's that are so easy to do with digital imaging software. I like to see reality in a photograph. If I wanted an interpretation of the reality I think I'd rather see a painting or a sketch than an action from photoshop.
My name is Jen Gribbin. I am just a regular girl with a fancy camera. :-) I'm trying to develop both my photography skills, as well as a portfolio. I started making an effort to put my camera to good use about six months ago. As I continue to take more, I will post them here for the world to see. I love comments, so please let me know what you think - good or bad! Please be constructive, though. My feelings are easily hurt. ;-)
